With only 21 days of Christmas shopping left (arrghhhh!), I thought I’d pull together some ideas to help with the last minute shopping.
Board games
You can’t go wrong with a board game as long as it’s age appropriate. My youngest is now enjoying them more and not losing his head if he doesn’t win. While the boys are loving Game of Life at the moment, Scrabble is on our Christmas list. In my mind it’s also helping them with their spelling and English! Boggle is a similar, smaller version which we’re playing at the moment. The boys love it as they have to find as many words as possible before the timer goes off .
Currently 30-50% off, who doesn’t love Smiggle! Some great gift ideas on offer at the moment. Think of all the cute and cool school accessories that could be given in readiness for the new school year. There are also bundles of items which would be great for stocking fillers. So far I’ve picked up new lunch bags, colouring pens and keyrings.
Entertainment for days! Introducing the new Bunch o Balloon soaker. Now the kids can fill up the balloons on their own meaning you get to sit back and watch – unless they have you in their sights for a soaking!
I originally saw these toys from Rachelle on The Mummy Code. We received some for my son’s recent birthday and more are on our Christmas list, available from Big W. The sealed package inside the egg consists of slime and beast body and armour parts. The kids must dig out the parts from the slime, wash them and then assemble the beast. The slime is actually one of the best I’ve seen. It doesn’t stick to everything and washes off easily. We use the egg shell to store the beast one it’s been made. Easy enough to put together and not too many parts.
Unicorns
Check out Big W for some cute unicorn toys including Build a Bot unicorn, travel bags and this Thelma the Unicorn boxed set which I’ve bought for a Christmas gift.
Sustainable and eco-friendly straws in beautiful colours including unicorn, bamboo toothbrushes and charcoal air purifying bags. What’s not to love! We use our stainless-steel straws on a regular basis and they come with a cleaner and linen carry bag. To make you feel even better, $1 from each product sold is donated to Sea Life Trust.
I’ve purchased a couple of these hampers and the quality of products is amazing. You can buy pre-made hampers or customise your own. What makes these products even better is the amazing customer service that goes along with them. Highly recommend.
Do you know someone who loves wine and chocolate? Then why not get a customised hamper from the ladies at Three Birds Do Wine. Not only will they pick the best wine from boutique and family wineries in the Hunter Valley, they also include artisan products such as locally produced olive oil and chocolate. Yum!
As we’re coming into summer in Australia, this folding wine table will receive ample use. Ideal for picnics at the beach, in the park or backyard and you can choose from hardwood or pine. Easy to fold and carry, the folding wine table is perfect for the person who has everything.
I cannot pass this store without going into it. It’s like Kmart – you go in with one thing in mind and come out with a lot more! Typo have some gorgeous diaries, laptop covers, Star Wars paraphernalia, and bath bombs in store at the moment.
Have you seen anything else that would be good to add to the list?
