When we say ‘flexible working’ what exactly does that mean to you? Is it working part-time; or shorter hours; or from another location; or having adjusted start and finish times? Is it having the flexibility to leave work early so you can pick up the kids from school and then work from home in the evening? Or being able to spend some of the working week focusing on an area your passionate about, whether that be volunteering or an active sport? The saying ‘One shoe doesn’t fit all’ comes to mind when thinking how we apply flexible working opportunities to people. Continue reading

Lunch that’s not a sandwich
I’m a lover of bread. I’m a lover of pasta. And I mean I’m a lover! Lately though I’ve tried to cut back on my loves and just change my diet slightly – cut out wheat and try add more healthy but enjoyable food. I was feeling sluggish with not enough energy to keep running a household, a job that I enjoy and two active kids.
